Project Description

This contract was part 1 of a 2 phase project on two bridge structures adjacent to Turkey Creek Golf Course were built in the early 1900’s had severe concrete delamination and started to undermine the bridge bearings. The failed concrete fascia on the entire bridge abutments, wingwalls and portions of piers were removed and replaced with new reinforcement and cast in place concrete; structural steel pedestals were installed under the bridge bearings; and the pier was widened to receive a new bridge structure under phase 2. All work was able to be performed beneath the bridge and with no impact to train traffic.
