Fish Dispersal Barrier
Client: United States Army Corps of Engineers
PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Replacement of existing fences located at the Fish Barrier campus (east & west side of the canal) and neighboring fences adjacent to the Fish Barrier campus. These fences & gates will be replaced with non- conductive fences to address touch potential arising from the presence of stray currents. Existing fences removed from the Fish Barrier campus will be salvaged and reused at other locations on the campus w here risks of stray currents are low . Other stray current mitigation features include placements of grounding meshes and rods at various areas within the property grounds. The project will also include repairs of holes & tears along the existing Des Plainer River by-pass fence fabric and installation of a barrier at the base of the fence.
